Vacuum heat treatment of hard magnetic materials

Vacuum heat treatment of hard magnetic materials

Most of the parts made of hard magnetic alloys are formed by powder metallurgy and then solid solution treated or annealed, so the heat treatment of hard magnetic material parts is mainly vacuum sintering, vacuum solution treatment and vacuum annealing. Since the carbon content of NdFeB and AlNiCo alloys needs to be strictly controlled, the heating elements and reflector screens of the vacuum furnace should be made of molybdenum sheets for both sintering and solution treatment of hard magnetic alloy parts.

Vacuum heat treatment of soft magnetic materials

Vacuum heat treatment of soft magnetic materials

The raw materials for soft magnetic alloys are mainly rods, strips and plates, and the parts are cut, punched, stamped or rolled in a cold process. During the process, the original grain structure of the material will be destroyed, resulting in a decrease in the permeability of the material, and the processing stresses generated during the process will lead to dimensional instability of the part. Therefore, parts made of soft magnetic alloys must be annealed after processing and forming to regain regular equiaxed grain structure and reduce the content of impurities in the material to restore and improve the magnetic properties of the material, while eliminating processing stresses and stabilizing the size of the part. According to the material

Common failures of vacuum pumps and how to deal with them

Common failures of vacuum pumps and how to deal with them

Packing pressure is too tight Method: Loosen the packing gland bolt, start the pump, and then slowly tighten the gland bolt until a little water flows out.

Application of partial pressure in vacuum heat treatment

Application of partial pressure in vacuum heat treatment

Heat treatment under vacuum conditions is called vacuum heat treatment. Vacuum heat treatment is an ideal technology for bright heat treatment without oxygenation and decarburization. However, evaporation of metallic elements, depletion of alloying elements on the surface of the part, reduction of corrosion resistance, and improvement of surface brightness of the part are inevitable challenges in the vacuum heat treatment process.

Can high alloy dies with high temperature hardening be tempered for a long time instead of multiple times?

Can high alloy dies with high temperature hardening be tempered for a long time instead of multiple times?

High-temperature quenching of high-alloy dies to be tempered several times, such as hot forging die made of 3Cr2W8 steel to be tempered more than twice. This is because these high-temperature quenching of high-alloy workpiece, after quenching organization has more residual austenite, the purpose of multiple tempering is to make the residual austenite in tempering cooling to complete the transformation to martensite, so that the residual austenite transformation of martensite and then into tempered martensite. If the use of a long time tempering is difficult to achieve the above organizational transformation, is not sufficient tempering, it will lead to secondary hardening phenomenon is not obvious, the workpiece size stability is poor, brittleness is larger, life is low.
