Prevention of heat treatment deformation of mold

Prevention of heat treatment deformation of mold

The causes of deformation of precision complex moulds are often complex, but we just need to grasp its deformation law, analyze the reasons for its generation, and adopt different methods to prevent the deformation of moulds can be reduced and controlled. Generally speaking, the heat treatment deformation of precise and complex moulds can be prevented by the following methods.

Can the mechanical property data of materials listed in the manual be mechanically applied in the mechanical design

Can the mechanical property data of materials listed in the manual be mechanically applied in the mechanical design

The number of mechanical properties listed in various manuals is generally based on the data obtained by testing small size specimens (Ø15 to 25mm) that can be hardened. Therefore, when using these data must pay attention to the effect of size effects on mechanical properties. When the part diameter (thickness) and the material critical hardening diameter is similar to the data in the manual can be used as the basis for design and material selection. When the size of the part is larger than the critical diameter of the material, with the increase in cross-sectional size, the mechanical properties of steel will be reduced (this phenomenon is known as the size effect), especially for low hardenability of steel, the size effect is particularly obvious.

Industrial Green Development

On April 14, 2016, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized an expert validation meeting on the "13th Five-Year Plan for Industrial Green Development" (hereinafter referred to as "the Plan") in Beijing, where experts from relevant research institutions, universities and industry associations validated the Plan. Gao Yunhu, director of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization, presided over the meeting. The expert group believes that the Plan implements the development concept of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee and the green development deployment of the national 13th Five-Year Plan, aims at the new situation and new tasks, puts forward the general idea and target measures for promoting green development in the industrial field, and the main tasks cover the green development of industry. The main tasks cover various fields of industrial green development, reflecting heritage and innovation, and "Made in China 2025" and "Green Manufacturing Project Implementation Guide" have formed an effective connection and complementary, and have been expanded and deepened. The Plan has a strong leading role in promoting the national industrial green development.

Formation and prevention of carbon black during carburizing and carbo-nitriding heat treatment

Formation and prevention of carbon black during carburizing and carbo-nitriding heat treatment

Feihong Heat Treatment Heat Treatment Co., Ltd. uses a sealed box-type multi-purpose furnace with an intelligent control system. The drip atmosphere is mainly applied to the decomposition of methanol and propane at high temperatures to produce active carbon, which provides a carbon source for carburizing and carbonitriding heat treatment processing.

The "four fires" in heat treatment

The "four fires" in heat treatment

Annealing steel is heated to a certain temperature and held for a period of time, and then it is slowly cooled, known as annealing. Annealing of steel is the steel heated to the temperature at which the phase change or partial phase change occurs, after holding the heat treatment method of slow cooling. The purpose of annealing is to eliminate organizational defects, improve the organization so that the composition of uniformity and refinement of grain, improve the mechanical properties of steel, reduce residual stress; at the same time can reduce hardness, improve plasticity and toughness, improve cutting performance. So annealing is not only to eliminate and improve the organization defects and internal stresses left by the previous process, but also to prepare for the subsequent process, so annealing is a semi-finished product heat treatment, also known as pre-heat treatment.
